Introduction to DAF Modeling and Simulation Fundamentals Course (CAC-Enabled)

Description: The Introduction to Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Foundations course is designed for those with minimal or no experience in M&S. It is also appropriate for those who may have been introduced to M&S previously but are not familiar with modern M&S concepts. In this course, learners will build their M&S literacy and learn foundational concepts to communicate more effectively within the M&S community of practice. This course specifically defines models, simulations, simulands, live, virtual, constructive, and other terms from the interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary approach used in modern M&S practices. These concepts are described using many real examples from the DAF, DoD and other agencies who rely on M&S to support a variety of missions to experiment, imitate or provide a particular experience for users. Learners will also be provided with an overview of the various commands within the DAF who rely on M&S to support their organization's mission objectives.
